Shipping Instructions (for Items Shipping By Truck Freight)
Items that ship by truck freight are larger items that include: all boats that are not inflatable and some trailers. Inflatable boats, water toys, and some trailers ship via UPS.
Shipping & Unloading Information for items shipped by truck freight:
If your order is shipping to a residential address: once the order arrives at the freight terminal nearest your home, the freight company will contact you by phone to arrange a delivery appointment. If the freight company attempts delivery and no one is there to receive the item, the shipping company may charge a re-delivery fee which the customer agrees to be responsible for. By purchasing items on this website, the customer agrees that Lakeshore Managers LLC may charge customer's credit card to be reimbursed for any redelivery fees charged to us on customer's behalf.
DELIVERY TO RESIDENTIAL ADDRESSES IS CURB SIDE ONLY. The freight company is not responsible for unloading the order or moving the item after it’s unloaded. The truck drivers will normally help unload.
If your order is shipping to a business address: the address must be zoned business and must be open during normal business hours. The freight company WILL NOT notify customer of the impending delivery. If no one is present to take the delivery during normal business hours, the freight company may charge a re-delivery fee for which customer agrees to be responsible for. By purchasing items on this website, the customer agrees that Lakeshore Managers LLC may charge customer's credit card to be reimbursed for any redelivery fees charged to us on customer's behalf.
Customer responsibility for inspecting order at the time of delivery: (applies to items shipped by truck freight only)
Unfortunately damage during shipping happens occasionally. If it happens to your order, rest assured we will do everything possible to resolve your issue as quickly as possible.
IT IS THE CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO INSPECT ORDER BEFORE SIGNING FOR THE DELIVERY. Customer's signature on the Bill of Lading constitutes acceptance of the item "as is" and may prevent the filing of a claim with the freight company.
Instructions for orders that arrive damaged:
If you discover minor damage or missing parts you may at your option keep the item but YOU MUST NOTE THE DAMAGE OR MISSING PARTS ON THE SHIPPING BILL OF LADING BEFORE THE DRIVER LEAVES. If you do not note freight damage or missing parts, the freight carrier MAY NOT compensate you for the damage.
If you discover extensive damage to your order (very rare) then you should REFUSE DELIVERY of the order by NOT SIGNING FOR IT. In this case the item will be loaded back on the truck for return. Please contact us as soon as possible if the happens.
Orders may be cancelled with the following restrictions:
+ If the order has not yet shipped, it may be cancelled for a full refund.
+ If the order has shipped, you will be charged for 1) the original shipping cost to ship the product to you* 2) the cost of shipping the product back to its origin 3) a 10% to 30% restocking fee depending on manufacturer.
*Note: Products with free shipping incur freight costs even though you don't pay this cost. If you cancel an order that includes a product that ships for free, you will be responsible for actual freight costs incurred by Lakeshore Managers LLC.
If you ordered the wrong item OR do not want to keep the item you ordered you may return the item within 7 days of receiving the item by contacting us for an RMA Number. This policy DOES NOT apply to trailers which may NOT be returned.
If you return an item without an RMA Number the item will not be accepted when it arrives at the warehouse.
Acceptance of returns is subject to the following conditions:
1) Return requests must be made within seven days of taking delivery of the item.
2) The item must be unused,undamaged and in its original condition.
3) The item must be packaged in its original packing or a suitable equivalent.
4) Customer is responsible for paying 1) the original freight charges to ship 2) the freight charges to return the item 3) a 10% to 30% restocking fee depending on manufacturer.
5) The RMA Number must be written on the outside of the packaging or delivery may be refused.
If you are shipped the wrong item, we will pay the shipping costs to have the item returned and the correct item shipped to you.
IF CUSTOMER REFUSES DELIVERY OF AN UNDAMAGED ITEM IT WILL BE TREATED AS A NORMAL RETURN AND BE SUBJECT TO ROUND TRIP ACTUAL SHIPPING CHARGES AND A 10% to 30% RESTOCKING FEE DEPENDING ON THE MANUFACTURER.
When shipping to a business address, the freight carrier will generally not call to schedule a delivery appointment and will deliver during normal 9 AM to 5 PM business hours unless alternate delivery hours are specified on the order. If the carrier arrives at the delivery address and the location is closed or cannot accept delivery, the carrier will generally try to re-deliver the following day and may charge a re-delivery fee for which the customer agrees to reimburse Lakeshore Managers LLC.
In the case of residential deliveries, the freight carrier will call to set up a delivery appointment. If the carrier arrives at the residential delivery address and customer is not present to take delivery, the carrier will generally call to set up a re-delivery appointment and may charge a re-delivery fee for which the customer agrees to reimburse Lakeshore Managers LLC.
By ordering on the MySportBoats.com website or by phone, the customer agrees that Lakeshore Managers LLC may charge the original credit card used on the order to be reimbursed for re-delivery fees. A notice will be sent to the customer describing the charge. If a credit card was not used on the original order, Lakeshore Mangers LLC will invoice the customer for the re-delivery charge.
Extra Delivery Charges For Incorrect Information Given To Lakeshore Managers LLC:
We quote truck freight based on the delivery address, address type (business, residential, & limited access), and the availability of a loading dock or forklift at the delivery address. This information is given to us by the customer at the time of quotation. If any delivery information given to Lakeshore Managers LLC by the customer is incorrect, the freight carrier may charge extra shipping charges for:
1.) Re-consigning the freight to a different delivery address
2.) Delivering to a residential address (if not originally quoted this way)
3.) Delivering to a limited access address (if not originally quoted this way)
4.) Providing a lift gate on delivery (if not originally quoted with a lift gate)
By ordering on the MySportBoats.com website or by phone, the customer agrees that Lakeshore Managers LLC may charge the original credit card used on the order to be reimbursed for incorrect address type and lift gate fees charged to us by the carrier. A notice will be sent to the customer describing the charge. If a credit card was not used on the original order, Lakeshore Managers LLC will invoice the customer for the additional charge.
